Step1

REMOVE DUST AND DIRT

Begin by carefully removing dust and impurities from the leather with a soft-bristled brush. Then, use a clean, dry cloth to refine the cleaning and prepare the leather for the next treatment.

Step 2

NOURISH THE LEATHER

  • Apply a very small amount of cream or wax to the entire shoe. This can be a neutral color if you don't want to change the shoe's tone, or you can use a slightly darker shade if you prefer to create a patina effect.

  • Let it dry before polishing with a brush or cloth.

Step 3

POLISH

  • Next, you can apply another coat of wax in the matching color or a darker shade to add depth; this will give your shoes a lovely, glossy finish. Apply the wax to your shoes, let it sit for a few minutes, and then brush it off.

PROTECT AND NOURISH

  • Once the suede is completely free of dirt and has been thoroughly brushed, you can proceed to apply a protective spray. It is important to follow the instructions on the spray cans and use only in a well-ventilated area, spraying from a distance of 8–10 inches (20–30 cm) from the suede.

  • Let it dry for 10 minutes and then brush with a clean brush.

Tip 2

PROTECT IT FROM THE ELEMENTS

  • Do not use the product while it is damp or wet, especially if it has a leather sole, as moisture weakens the adhesives, potentially causing them to degrade and components to detach.

  • Additionally, when leather absorbs water, it expands and loses rigidity, creating tension at the bonding points that can lead to structural failures and irreversible damage.

  • If the footwear or item gets wet, dry it at room temperature in a well-ventilated area away from heat sources. Natural drying prevents deformation and ensures that the adhesives regain their bond.

Tip 1

LET IT REST FOR A WHILE

  • To preserve the elegance and durability of your genuine leather Gran Par shoe, we recommend alternating its use with other pairs. Leather, being a natural material, needs time to breathe and recover its original shape, ensuring it looks impeccable for longer.

  • When not in use, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight—preferably in its original box or protective case.

  • To maintain its perfect shape, complete the care routine with our cedar shoe trees.
